If you are on my instagram you have seen this, but for some reason I cannot stop laughing. Impy has always been ridiculously good at the "I am beautiful. I am irresistible. Come stroke my lovely belly until I decide to bite you" gaze.

In SLC until Wednesday, well, until Tuesday and then spending Wednesday in Twin Falls, and then back home again ^_^

Aria has officially become a Star Wars junkie, and she's never even seen the films, although she has played the Lego Star Wars games and seen a few of the Clone Wars cartoons. We went to the Disney shop here and she bypassed all the princess stuff to head straight to the Star Wars displays - she has a small obsession with Darth Vader. She wanted a light saber, but it seemed really heavy/able to cause some actually damage if she swung it around, so I talked her out of that. But, she now has a huge Darth Vader that she pleaded with grandma for, and I got her a set of Star Wars action figures.

Going sightseeing today, its really pretty here.

View from hotel, love it, its within walking distance of everything downtown :)
Sorry I've been so quiet around here again. Just going crazy with my Masters. Got an A+ in psycholinguistics :-O Most professors don't even do the +/- system unless someone goes well above and beyond .... so I'm absolutely ecstatic at the moment.

All other grades were As, so I'm going to try to complete my masters with a 4.0! O_O
Sorry for my update fail :D
The lesson I taught this past Thursday went well. The kids were excited to have a visitor in the classroom, they all participated happily, and I feel like I definitely got something out of the experience as well.
The drive there and the drive home? Not so great. Good thing I gave myself 90 minutes to get there (it's only about 30 minutes away, but I wanted to review some things in the less plan before going in) because that is how long it took .... and the way home took about the same, trying out a different route. TOTALLY lost. Completely lost! And in the middle of nowhere where my phone wouldn't even get a signal. I need to get that route sorted because I go back there in two weeks.
oh my god oh my god oh my god. So today sucked. I spilled my coffee (on Aria's swingset and on my leg) earlier today, and while it wasn't hot, it was the last of my vanilla cream so I couldn't make another delicious cup.
Just now .... yeah, just now I boiled the kettle to make tea. I then proceeded to pour some into the cup, and SOME INTO MY FUCKING LAP!!!!! Fuuuuuck that hurt.
I need sleep.
Bulletproof coffee you say???

I guess I'll give it a whirl.

Seriously just took the first sip. Holy crap, I'm drinking a mug of coffee, butter, and coconut oil (with a dash of cinnamon :D).
It's actually pretty delicious.
[livejournal.com profile] suureal asked if I'd post a picture of my Frodo in response to the 3 confessions post. :) here ya go! )

Oh dear, I've got some catching up to do on this meme and then on the one where people left questions :) Let me start here, and I will respond to the questions this evening and tomorrow!

So, day 16 and day 17

If the world were ending tomorrow I would spend today with my daughter and husband and make it as lovely as possible. No rules as it doesn't matter right? Lots of fun, cuddles, and just general well being.

Day 17, what I wanted to be when I "grew up", well I often thought I would be a veterinarian or a professional artist. I realized I would never want to be a professional artist as I do it for enjoyment and relaxation and I couldn't handle being a veterinarian.

Favorite quote:
Imagine how much richer and fuller your life would be if you spent your money on experiences instead of things. Buy a pair of shoes, wear it until they're falling apart before you replace them.... And imagine the stories those hole-filled shoes could tell at the end of their ride, because you'd been out living life in them. And if the shoes could accumulate such stories in their time, imagine the stories you could accumulate in YOUR time, if you had the mind to do so!

Day 4, meaning behind my Tumblr name. Hmmmm. Good question, I don't have a Tumblr.

My livejournal name though? Well, it doesn't really have a meaning. I made this journal in 2002 or so? I just liked how velvet and echos sounded together. I think I envisioned a soft vs harsh repetitive sound, I can't explain it but I can feel it. Whatever :)
Will update and catch up more tomorrow or Sunday - all kinds of chaos over here, put on Thanksgiving yesterday and tomorrow is Aria's 3rd birthday, first party with other kids involved. Rented out a local play place, have been baking non-GMO cupcakes all day (pain in the butt, but aside from being icky, Aria seems to react badly to something that is found in most candies/frosting type crap so I'm guessing it might be the food coloring, I don't know) running around getting last minute crap in order, etc.

Bit of a bright spot, a friendly shopper on Black Friday! I was looking everywhere for a Leappad Explorer, and at the last place I was willing to look (and this was in the afternoon, I DO NOT take part in the crazytown that is the morning of Black Friday, and didn't mean to shop at all today but Matt's parents asked if we could grab a birthday gift for Aria from them and they'd reimburse us) I didn't see any on the shelf. I told my friend I should ask an employee since tomorrow is Aria's birthday and I really wanted to get her one, when a shopper came over and handed me one from his cart. He said he'd gotten the last one in stock but he'd give it to me since he still had a month before Christmas to get one. That was AWESOME!

couple more photos from Christmas tree festival earlier today )
And Aria showing a birthday gift from her grandparents, and decorating the tree at home
woohoo )
Did a friend cut! Wow, I feel a little evil, I don't think I've previously done that! I had quite a few journals that I didn't feel I "click" with, and quite a few others that I skim over ... and really there is no reason to cloud up my lj reading experience - I'm not on here as often as I'd like, and I'd rather be able to get to all the journals I enjoy reading.
So, if I did cut you, don't take it the wrong way - I don't actively dislike anyone I've cut, I just felt that we weren't really participating in each other's journals.
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

My mother and I.

Just popping in here to say:
Peanut butter and jelly cupcake baby! oh yeah!
Had an excellent birthday! In the AM made berry pancakes, covered in more berries and whipped cream :D Then put together my birthday cake to have later in the evening, played around the house for a bit, and headed out for coffee.

We went from coffee into Boise to do Boo at the Zoo. It was packed, but great fun. Loads of people, saw some really great costumes! I noticed a lot of kids dressed as the Mario Bros this year.

After that headed to Baja Fresh to grab lunch, then took Aria to a park. I have to say, the playground they added to Morris Hill park looks amazing - I'm jealous there was nothing like that at the playgrounds when I was little. Aria had a lot of fun - she went down a slide for the first time (with Matt holding on to her of course!)

Went home, Aria had a nap, I began getting ready for Zombie Nation, then had birthday cake, and headed over to get Martin and Darryl. Martin's mother gave me an adorable black Hello Kitty robe as a birthday gift :D :D

Went out for coffee again in Boise, then had a slice of pizza for dinner. Hit the club, a lot of dancing, mingling with friends, and Zombie Girl was performing live.

Came home, and got some much needed rest. Good times!

Boo at the Zoo! )
I did a "day in the life" photo series for Aria for her birth month community - thought I'd cross post it here for you guys - so if you're in the November group this is a repost :) There's like a million photos here though, so be forewarned if you're clicking on it! Oh, and there's one of me in the bath with Aria by the way, but you can't see anything but like my leg and top of boob (no nip). Just thought I'd warn you of the semi nudity in case you don't want to see it :)

Aria's 8 month day was yesterday :) We went to the Goddess Festival in Boise....

Yayness ahead! )
