Nov. 14th, 2003 02:38 amMmmm. Actually relaxed tonight, to get my mind off everything. Spent a long time watching the first disc of my mom's birthday present to me =-)~
I always say I'd never get married, but how many of you would hate me, if I said I'd retract that statement, if Dawson Leary, from Dawson's Creek (in the older seasons, when he's actually in his 20's, not when he's a little 15 year old), suddenly became real?
Okay, I seem to have nauseated
jojotklown with that statement. Let me clarify it. I find the character adorably and disarmingly sweet, yet bitchy enough to still be palatable. I like bitchy guys (not weak whiney bitchy guys, those guys I want to hit, just opinionated, testy, strong willed, brooding, bitchy guys). I'm attracted to the way Dawson interacts with Katie Holmes character. I'm sure every girl is. I'd never marry anyone, but the way the idea of having a "best friend, that you spend all your time with, and grow with, and grow up with" is just the most romantic thing in the world. It doesn't sound like it, because you have this person, that's seen you in all these unappealing, and awkward stages in life, and you already know everything about them, and they've probably pissed you off a great deal of times, but you just can't imagine yourself without them, and you trust them completely.
So, no, I'm not attracted to Dawson, just the idea of the character. Does that sound better to you?
