Jan. 5th, 2003 12:16 pmJust thought I'd post an actual entry, instead of all these survey/picture fluff, to let everybody know how I'm doing! Since I haven't posted any actual content, well, since before Christmas I think.
So update.
Christmas went well, my mother and sister came out to celebrate with me. As on Thanksgiving, I ended up cooking the entire meal, but my cooking rocks, so it was yummy. Did a whole replay of the Thanksgiving meal.
Had to run to the airport so many times over the season it wasn't even funny. First, my mother's plane was 2 hours late getting in, so I sat around for that period. The next day, I went back to the airport to pick up Cheryl, sat around for 4 hours, found out she missed her flight, and had to leave and come back for her that evening. Fast forward one week, had to drop off Cheryl at the airport. Then go back twice that day, once so Ron could buy a ticket, then later to drop him off for his flight. Two days later. Dropping mother off at the airport. That makes for a grand total of 7 instances of airport insanity in 7 days. And it's about a 45 minute drive in each direction.
So house is now to myself. Kind of nice, kind of lonely.
New Years eve was interesting. Spent most of it playing with new addiction - Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Rest of time spent eating yummy bread dipped in spinach dip, and these little appetizers I made (wheat thin crackers with little peices of Colby-Jack cheese, avocado, and roast beef on top). Toasted chateux monet mixed with sprite and coconut rum at midnight.
Now it's 2003. Hmmm. What kind of tragedies await this year. Last year was terrible. It all seems like a big fog, lost father, left fiancee, left perfect job, left wonderful college, , visited Connecticut for first time in 7 years, saw mother for first time in 7 years, moved to buttfuck Idaho. All a big blur.
