"Mies Del Dolor" Blind Guardian

Ella partió
Y el bosque durmió
La doncella nunca volverá

El sello del olvido se ha roto
Y en pecado un amor tornará

Nuestra vida sola baila
Esperanza gritos cubrirá
La verdad en el pasado
Sueños mentiras mostrarán
La noche vendrá
Dolor quedará

De repente todo se aclaró
La venda de los ojos cayó

Sus ojos cerró
Y mi nombre gritó
Ella nunca nunca mas fue vuelta
A ver

Mies del dolor
Tu fruto creció
En helada tierra de pesar
Cuando muera la luz
La noche invernal
Vendrá

Ella partió
Y yo pierdo la fe
Mis heridas no podrán sanar

A lesson in poor judgement

Talleyville teen dies in crash
Unlicensed Concord High student slams into tree after taking family car

A 16-year-old Concord High sophomore who took his parents' car for a drive was killed early Wednesday when he plowed into a tree on Black Gates Road in Talleyville.

Kevin Russo of Walden Road in Talleyville was pronounced dead at the scene about 12:30 a.m. by county paramedics, spokeswoman Kelli Starr-Leach said.

According to police and state Department of Motor Vehicle records, Russo was not licensed to drive in Delaware, the agency's spokeswoman Kimberly Chandler said.

Russo's mother Barbara said her son turned 16 on April 17 and was eager to get his driver's license. But she said she will never know why he decided to take the car out.

"This was poor judgment on the part of a 16-year-old anxious to drive," Barbara Russo said. "He had the car out literally around the block from my house. Clearly, he was wrong."

Russo said she and her husband Bruce are devastated by the loss of their son.

"He was going to be awarded [his learner's permit] any day," Barbara Russo said. "He pushed the limits."

New Castle County police spokesman Patrolman Trinidad Navarro said an investigation showed the boy was speeding on Black Gates Road when the 2001 Audi Wagon left the road, traveled through a fence and plowed into a large tree between Country Club Drive and Sharpley Road, near DuPont Country Club.

Russo was propelled through the car's front windshield, authorities said.

Investigators have been unable to determine if he was wearing a seat belt, Navarro said.

"The vehicle struck the tree with such force that the motor was thrown 50 feet from the car," Navarro said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

An autopsy conducted Wednesday at the state Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death was multiple force injuries, state Department of Health and Social Services spokeswoman Allison Taylor Levine said. Russo's death was ruled an accident, she said.

Concord High School principal Cheryl L. Morton said counselors and psychologists from the Brandywine district's crisis team were on hand Wednesday.

Boxes
All I really have to say at the moment is boxes.
I'm in the middle of packing. I do things in weird order, but it's MY order, and that's the way it has to be done. I pack in weird bursts of energy, and motivation. I've started with my books, and dvd's, and those kinds of lovely things. One, because they won't be around to distract me, when it gets down to the wire, and I have to hurry up. Also, because I got to take the ones I didn't want in to Hastings yesterday, and trade them for stuff I did want.
I've also begun packing old photos/letters/paperwork.
Damn, who else here has had the harrowing experience of packing up an entire 3bedroom house all by themself? Martin's not very helpful in this process, but then again, I'm crazy, and have to have things packed a certain way, at a certain time. I can't really hold anyone else accountable for this, since everything in this place is mine, heheh. Damn. Can't wait to get back to CT!!!
