Jul. 6th, 2004 06:46 pmBusy day today. Work was nice, all of my clients were happy to see me, since was not at the centre on Monday =-) Spent the first two and a half hours out on volunteer with one of the clients, we went to the nursing home. It was lovely. Played bingo, served snacks, visited, and got the residents ready for lunch.
After work popped in on the recycling centre (by the way, am thinking of figuring out how to start a petition, for more recycling bins in public places, such as parks, or around the cinemas and malls. Anyone up for getting together with me on that? Anyone at all? Ki's willing to find out how to accomplish it, assuming we'd have to petition for it, so, some signature collectors would be appreciated, and might need someone from Ada county to take it up with Ada county, Ki is going to take it up with Canyon county.), dropped off my recyclables, then had to stop by the campus to get paperwork ready for fall. And we all know how dealing with people in the school offices can be.... so yeah, am now tired, heh, but happy after feeling like that's all ready to go.
Anyone willing to get in on this recycling project, please let me know. This area is expanding a bit, and the amount of waste is ridiculous. Ki really isn't asking much, heh, even if you don't want to stand and collect signatures, should we happen to need a petition.. you could even just be someone willing to sign, or have your friends or family sign? But, the more people willing to really get involved, the better.
