Aug. 9th, 2004 07:22 amMade lumpia for dinner last night, that was yummy. Happy right now as well, despite there not being a Starbucks within ten miles of me (heh, it's about thirteen miles away), yesterday, when ran to Starbucks, managed to pick up their espresso, and their mocha powder, so, currently having a Starbucks mocha with their peppermint syrup (ha! horded it over the holiday season). Yay! *praises Cheryl for Krupps espresso/coffee maker* Told you Ki'd use it!!
It's Monday... usually Mondays at work go buy fairly quickly. Am also able to sign up for my courses at school today.
Martin tried to make up for being such an ass yesterday, by coming over in the evening, and helping me clean up a little bit, since am freaking out about my place not being up to par when my mother comes to visit. Not up to par in an "Oh, it's going to look horrible, and she's going to pick on me", nae, she's the sweetest ever, and she never critiques me. It's just that, if she thinks it looks messy, she'll spend her holiday here trying to clean my house, instead of relaxing, but she'd want it to be nice for me. So, Ki did the dishes, and swept the floor, and Martin took out some stuff, wiped down the shelves, took out the garbage, and while Ki made the lumpia, he mopped the floor. Kitchen is done, it'll probably need a brief go-through before she arrives, but, it's been straightened nicely. One room down.
Will work on the living room this evening, after signing up for my classes, and my bedroom on Tuesday. Wednesday will be coffee, and some meetings at school. Thursday and Friday will be cleaning out the guest room and the garage. Over the weekend Ki will work on the yard a bit, and any last minute straightening, then just have to do upkeep throughout next week, and she'll arrive on the 23rd.
