Oct. 23rd, 2004 07:33 pmHmmm. A very interesting day for me, Ki supposes. Didn't get in until after 02:00 (last night? This morning?), because had gone to see "Exorcist: The Beginning", midnight showing of that. Now, why did Ki do that? Not sure. Had trouble sleeping afterwards. Actually, fine, probably didn't actually fall asleep until well after 04:00. This is the thing. Ki is afraid of ghost movies. You want to give me serial killers, zombies, vampires, whatever, that's fine. Just no ghosts! It's so pitiful really. "Ringu" terrified me, "The Ring" terrified me, and don't laugh at me, but Ki even had some issues with "The Others". Really, Ki doesn't get afraid of gore, doesn't sit awake fretting over aliens and monsters and the like, but for some reason distorted faces, ghosts, those all freak me out. Don't even know what this has to do with "The Exorcist" but for some reason after watching that movie Ki could not look in the mirror or go to the restroom for a few hours there, heh. Can't talk badly on the film, it was actually a pretty good script, good effects, etc, just freaky. Oh! And it does have a seen where there's a young child being ripped to peices and mauled by coyotes, that is actually shown, not just alluded to. That was a bit disturbing, we don't normally see that shown in movies. And a little baby still born and covered in maggots and ugh! Yes. *pouts* hopefully will sleep tonight. Anyway, a lot of you will probably enjoy this movie, so it's worth a watch for some of you. It's well done. The original "Exorcist" (and don't maim me for this), in my opinion, wasn't very good. Ki knows it was over the top and controversial for the time, but it didn't do anything for me, except give me train wreck syndrome.
Anyway, woke up late (for me), maybe about 10:00, and read for a little while. Showered, brought
sed to work, came home, started cleaning. Peeked through a few boxes in my garage, can't find my warm winter jacket anywhere, but did find three other jackets, which Ki's currently got in the laundry, that will at least help me live through winter. After that headed out to Boise, went to "Square" and had soup and an almond crepe. It was flippin freezin in Boise today, only had to walk two blocks, but was shivering and teeth chattering the entire way. You know how when it's so bitter cold that you can't seem to fully clothes your mouth because your face is just kind of frozen in this agonising teeth chattering expression? And then you end up with a dry sore throat from the chill? Yes, that was me walking around Boise, quite stupidly wearing platform China pattern sandals, because Ki's a silly Californian stuck in Idaho with a senseless wardrobe. Dug around and found some other shoes while cleaning today though. Big boot season again. Ki usually sticks to slip on shoes, because have a habit of kicking my shoes off and going barefoot unless indoors in a public place, but, it's way too cold for that now.
Back to cleaning for me now.
