Aug. 20th, 2008 11:14 amHaven't updated in a while, so I just thought I'd drop a line to say woooohooo, Tahoe was awesome! Drove overnight to get there, after popping in to Savvys on Friday to see ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
magentarose78 and donnyboy. Got to Tahoe early Saturday morning, and went to the hotel, met up with Matt's family, then went to Carrows for breakfast. Hadn't been to a Carrows since I moved away from Cali!
Went from Carrows up to N. Lake Tahoe to go on the boat we'd reserved, and also hit Safeway (SAFEWAY, YAY!!), we're I picked up some Safeway Select double chunk cookies, haha, an old favourite of mine, store brand, ghetto I know, but Safeway Select rocks! Went all around Lake Tahoe on the boat, including emerald bay which has gorgeous green water, and the blue bits of the lake is the most gorgeous shade of blue I've ever seen...from there we went out to lunch/dinner, and back down to S. Lake Tahoe to go swimming at the motel. Had some visiting that night, and then finally got a proper night of sleep before waking up the next morning to meet up with Winter, who happened to be in town from the Bay, had breakfast with her at a cute little diner then wandered around town and the shopping center. Met up with Matt's family around 14:00 at the Starbucks, left there around 14:30 and headed back up to Idaho.
One more week until Hawaii! I almost feel guilty for all the vacations I've taken this summer, but honest, most of them have just been a weekend here or there :) This will be my only longish one!
