Jan. 12th, 2009 09:12 amHad an awesome weekend! Took Matt out for a date, hehe, one of my Christmas gifts to him was a date with dinner/film both of his choice on me :) We went out for seafood and then headed to the cinema to see Valkyrie. Great film, and it was sort of nice, because I never would have picked that one out to see, so we only saw it due to his choosing it. Usually he doesn't choose when we do things like that - and I like it when he does, since I get to do things I wouldn't normally decide to do.
Saturday took a friend out since Tuesday had been her birthday, then just as I was about to leave to go home, called Matt, and he had just not two minutes earlier pulled into the shop next door to where we were, so walked over and met him. Went out for coffee, went grocery shopping, and headed home.
Been spending most my time playing We Cheer and Wii Fit, but also started the book The Art of Racing in the Rain. Absolutely loving it. Story done from point of view on humanity from elderly dog. I would definitely recommend it, even if the description sounds cheesey, it isn't!
Going to start packing tonight for trip to Cali, since we're leaving extremely early to go out for breakfast before hopping on the plane at 8:00 on Saturday, which means will have no time Friday night due to going to bed quite early! :) School starts back up Tuesday, will be getting home from Cali around 7:30 pm Monday night, so will have just under 3 days on vacation (1.5 hour flight each way, no layovers)
