Did a clean-up at the lake today. Not a total clean-up, heh, only myself and one other person, but we managed to fill FOUR trash bags, and that only covered a small portion of the grounds.
Anyone from Idaho wish to accompany next weekend, provided the weather holds? This is where the clean-up took place. If any of you would like to go along, we could meet for coffee or something, and then head to the lake. Ki's willing to provide gloves, and am also willing to provide trash bags, and am willing to transport any bottles or cans found, to the recycling center.
Found an injured bird out at the lake. He's a cliff swallow
=-) Attempted to bring him to the attention of the employees at the refuge, but they said there was nothing they could do for him, and that self could place him where found him, and let nature take it's course, or could bring him home with me. Sure you can guess what Ki did. His name is Lucky.

Verbatim, they said "There ain't a whole helluva lot we can do for 'im, why don'tcha stick 'im in the weeds and let nature take its course"

Facking fakin-bacons.

you could speak to someone in charge there, see if you could hold of some of the impliments to help you clean up, litter pickers and the like.

I find it odd that a refuge encourages you to come and shoot its inhabitants, but then thats americans for you.
