Granddad designed engines for Pratt & Whitney, Jack was the Massachusetts State Chess Champion, and they ALL read a ton of Sci-Fi all the time.. all the cousins.

We're geeky. It's a blood thing. No escape. None.

Cheryl may think she has escaped, with her coolness and suaveness and hippieness, but it will come out. Sooner or later, it's going to happen, despite her best efforts. She'll be, like, 40, and suddenly up and decide that some new Science Fiction series has really caught her fancy, and next thing you know, she's purchasing collectables.

Oh yes. We're DOOMED. O_o

And my children are continuing the tradition. So will yours, and hers..

*grins* Cheryl hasn't escaped she only thinks she has. You should see her with her video games and her Star Wars stuff. Oh, and, umm, the big LotR poster? Not mine, hers. She just forgot it at my house. No really, not joking. And her penchant for Spiderman (even before the movies came out, like, for her whole life really). Come on, he's a Marvel superhero, there must be geek points hiding in there... and what about her building model cars? That's geeky too dammit!

Oh! And chess! Dammit, they should of had chess/RISK/boardgame type questions. Jeebus, I'd be up in the 5 digit numbers somewhere.
