Post a memory of me.
It can be anything you want.

Then post this to your journal.
See what people remember about you.

Yea they do. It is tooo funny. I am going to check.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Let me know what you find! I'm not sure which volume of Mind's Eye it is, so I can't really look for it.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
ooo. if they're only on ebay, and not anywhere else i'd be a bit wary, because people can burn dvd off of video, and sometimes the quality is a bit crap.

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
No. They are real dvds. I could find them elsewear but my search engine is f'ed up and wont search for anything properly. I need to do a total reinstall.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
ahhh, okay.

What search engine?

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
any one I use. Doesn't matter. I mean like Google, Yahoo, they all give me stuff like this for any search:
-Find Results for minds eye at UpSpiral.com
-Want Super Mind-Power?
-Minds Eye
Bid at eBay and find thousands of great buys on just about anything!..
-SHOP @ OnTheWeb.com: minds eye

and so on and so forth. Nothing usefull. Just a bunch of self promoting sites.

might be spyware sending you ads, what browser is it?

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
Microsoft Internet Explorer

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
Cool. I will do that and see if it helps.
I wonder if people will look at the # of comments and wonder what is going on? Hehehe. 40 so far.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
Hehehe. Probably. It should help, it'll scan your computer for ad-aware. Norton or McAffee won't help, because they aren't viruses

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Which is better? What about BHODemon 2.0, Zone Alarm, & Spybot_S&D(advanced mode) all of which I have. Know about any of those

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Hey. How are you? I just realized it was not Kiki who wrote the last comment. Thanks for the help.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
I had Zone for a bit, deleted it, it was a bit of a pain. Spybot and BHO I know nothing about.

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
Zone is a pain. It pops up constantly to warn me about things. So does BHODemon.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. There are some settings on Zone you can change, so it doesn't happen so often, but, I didn't like it in general. I've heard of Spybot, but not BHO which makes me a little wary of that one, because I read up on a lot of stuff when I was having trouble a few months ago.

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
I will check ZA's settings. Here is what bho's description says
Freeware BHO Detection Utility

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
I'd drop BHO. Zone can be good when properly used, but I didn't like it. I love X-Cleaner though

you want a firewall, an anti virus and at least two spybot type programs, adaware and spybot are the usual ones recomended over here, ideally switching to a non internet explorere browser helps. firefox (mozila) or opera are both common options for a non ie browser

also with the version of zone alarm I've got it asks you if you want to allow something to connect and there is a remember this setting tickbox on each popup that remembers if you are allowing or blocking that individual programs

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:53 am (UTC)(link)
i have adaware, spysweeper and x-cleaner. I had Opera for a bit, and now I'm using Mozilla, but Mozilla crashes now and then, and I'm wondering if it's because I haven't deleted Internet Explorer.

[identity profile] britlover.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
I had Opera for a while. I don't remember it that well though. Maybe I should get it back.
Okay, bye for real this time.

[identity profile] velvetechos.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
do Mozilla. Bye!!! Opera is annoying! hehe!
