Forty years doesn't seem like very long when I consider that with my current retirement account + $200/month + 3% interest, I'll only have $100,355.99 when I retire. That doesn't include my pension from work (I'm already on the pension plan, and in November I'll have been here for 2yrs, which means I do get to keep it!), plus if the government comes up with something similar to social security (which I'm not counting on), so I need to up that! Can't wait to finish school and start earning more :) Luckily I'll always have my house as an investment!

Honestly it's not a big worry right now, since it won't be hard to start saving more than $200 a month - but I'm only 26 - this is a kick in the butt to those of you who are putting off your futures now - cause just think, $100k won't go far if you don't have an income at age eighty! I work in a clinic that sees homeless patients, and if you think some of them aren't senior citizens you're sadly mistaken. I care about you guys, and I want you to take care of yourselves!
Wow, look at my post from 07/16/07

Matt will be here TOMORROW night to live with me!!!

YAY!

Then my mother will be here the 31st, Cheryl sometime next month, and Matt's family is also coming out next month.

I'm going to volunteer late at Alpha tomorrow so I don't have to drive back and forth from Caldwell to Boise to Caldwell to Boise, which wouldn't be very enviro-friendly and would also be time consuming. I'm at Alpha from 5:30-8:00, and I think Matt gets here 10:30ishpm, so if anyone wants to grab coffee or dinner at 8:00 that would be awesome. If not I have some people I can call, or I can grab a film.

Wish me luck!

That means that Matt has been here for one year today!
