Jul. 21st, 2008 09:32 amGah! I totally scheduled my trip to Hawaii during the first week of school :S I thought school would be starting after Labor Day!
I leave Wednesday the 27th - I'm going to go into my Spanish and Art classes and ask if they can give me the assignments, and I'll work on them on the plane, etc. I'll miss two sessions of Spanish, and two sessions of Art, so missing two classes shouldn't be too bad....I think sometimes new students even show up that far into class anyway. I'll bring my laptop and monitor blackboard, etc. Eeek. What sucky timing!
Weekend was good. Finally bought the new furniture for the living room :D Am trading in big stuffy couch for a cute futon - people tend to like to sleep on that couch, so have gotten rid of guest room bed, and am moving the couch into that room! Also got stacking pull out storage boxes for my art/crafts stuff! Had to rent a U-Haul to bring the futon home, and also to take the mattress/box spring (the guest room one, plus FINALLY the one Sony had left here ages ago, and the one Ron had left here ages ago - see, three beds, I can def. justify renting a U Haul, haha), and a book shelf to the dump. I would normally donate them, but the one Sony had left was broken beyond repair, and the one Ron had left was also not in good condition...and the bookshelf was broken as well (it was over 20 yrs old). I did have another book shelf I was getting rid of, and we used to U Haul to take it to a friend's house - he wanted it :)
Sean finished pulling the weeds from Ronin's pen, so we're going to get sod put down in there, so we can keep the cheat grass from getting him sick again!
Last night went to the summer slaughter tour, saw some awesome bands playing. Good fun :)
Also, went and saw The Strangers, creepy film, loved it.
