So how was everyone's St Patrick's Day? Mine was ... well, rather interesting at some parts. I did the American tradition *snort* of having corned beef and cabbage, and I also drank Bailey's to the point of practically being able to float myself to Ireland. Later in the evening went to the cinema and took in "Secret Window". I liked it quite a bit. Any opinions from anyone else who has seen it? [livejournal.com profile] holyprincetom I know you adored it. Had you also read the story it was based on?

When are you coming to Boise to hang out with me again? XOXO

Whenever you want cutie. I'll pop by and get dinner while you are working if you'd like, just let me know a Friday/Saturday/etc that you'll be in! Or I'll get coffee, or go to the club *shrug* whenever =-)

I hadn't read the story first, which I'm glad about. I think if I had read it first, it wouldn't have been as scary. I definitely want to now. I used to be big on Stephen King (my favorites always ended up being his thickest -- The Stand, It) but I fell out of love with him for a while. Lately I've been angsting for him again. I think he works best during dark periods in my life and trying to find a job is definitely going to become one of those. But I hope dark enough that I enjoy him again. Half Past Midnight, right?

That would be correct

I read the story that Secret Window was based on. Interestingly enough I remember the other three novellas that were in that book, but not that one. Funny enough, they are now made into movies ^_^

I didn't celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It's a personal thing.

Could it be because it normally celebrates the extreme elimnation of the druids in Ireland?

I always seem to read some conflicting things about that this time of year. About how he did do it, or that he would never have done it because he was too nice.

Yeah, that story is a bit conflicted. Not sure what to think.

I read the story not too long ago knowing that the movie was coming out... I really liked how they changed the ending and pointed out in the movie that "This ending is perfect."
Lots of hidden little things that I found interesting, like how JD smashes the mirror when he's looking thru the house and we find out later on that in fact it is him doing everything, the placement of Tom Robbins books and the copy of The Rum Diary (One of Hunter S. Thompson's books that is being made into a movie with JD) on the coffee table by the phone.
It's one that I'll be buying when it's on DVD.

Same here. I'm half tempted to go see it again while it's still at the cinema!
