I am super upset. I just received an alert from Travelocity concerning my trip to Hawaii in August. A nice happy "Your flight number/travel schedule has changed" - I now have a 15 hour layover in Seattle on my return flight....and I arrive in Seattle at about 10pm....and leave about 1:30 the next afternoon.....where am I going to find to go in Seattle at 10:00pm, when I've never been there before?? And why did they just change my flight like that, without telling me beforehand? I'm going to call later and see if there are any other possible transfers, I don't feel comfortable with the current arrangement.

I can give you some Seattle pointers if you get stuck there. :)

That's been happening so often lately, it's almost a given that it will. Every time Lucas goes to New York his flight gets bumped. He never has to be there by any specific time, though, so he takes the free ticket they offer for compensation.

I would love a free ticket, although I'm not sure they're offering one at this point :P

I can understand why you are upset - the times aren't really too good, especially when you do not know the city and places to crash at, or just aren't in a mood for a long party after a journey.
But to make you feel a bit better, I'll tell you that Seattle is truly amazing - it's my favourite US city. I hope you'll at least have some time to explore and enjoy it, although preferably at more humane and shorter hours.

I definitely plan on visiting there someday, but not an from 10:00pm to 1:00pm - I wouldn't have time to see anything, or anywhere to sleep, haha. I could rent a motel, but I'd feel silly checking into one around midnight - that'd be a big waste.

There's plenty of fun stuff in Seattle especially depending on what day you are there, my recommend is Elliotts by pier 56, great seafood

I will go there someday when I can see stuff - but I wouldn't find anything or have time for anything when I'm arriving 10pm, then have to be back at the airport by noon to leave at 1:30pm

Call Travelocity, ask for a supervisor, and have them deal with the Inside Sales Desk at your respective air carrier. Most likely your last flight into BOI was taken out of schedule. You may be compensated for a hotel or entitled to a refund. Call during business hours on a monday-friday. This is what I do for a living.

Thank you!!! :D

Unfortunately it is in the small print that they can change flights provided they let you know - we used to get a lot of complaints about it at Thomas Cook. I completely understand your frustration though and hopefully they will be able to find a better one for you!

I hope so too!!
